How to Customize Your Wedding

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

Traditional weddings are not a thing of the past. We live in a world that is quickly advancing and yet we love the rich traditions of the wedding: the white dress, the flowers, the tuxedos, the vows and rings and music.

But if you’re unique, you may not want a completely traditional wedding, and yet you may not want a wedding that is so totally unusual, people won’t be sure if they’ve been to a wedding. Here are some ideas to combine your traditional wedding with your unique tastes.

Choose your music according to your tastes, not how it’s been done for years. If there are a lot of traditionalists in the audience, you may want to only have one song that is uniquely your song, while the rest are traditional songs. For example, the recessional at the very end is a great place to play “your song.”
Instead of flowers, which are costly and short-lived, consider candles which can be as equally as beautiful but are cheaper and there will still be some life left in them after the wedding for your personal use.
Incorporate important aspects of who you are into the ceremony and reception. If you are both into horses, why not ride off together into the sunset on horseback? If you are both into scuba-diving, why not have your ceremony at a beautiful resort overlooking the ocean?
The bride’s bouquet does not have to be entirely made of flowers. It can also contain candles, a teddy bear, and even a tasteful urn of the ashes of a departed loved one who should be honored on this special day.
A wedding cake is an expensive and very traditional piece of decoration. Perhaps there is some other appropriate item that can be used instead of a cake but with much more meaning. After all, who will miss it when it’s gone? You will have so many pictures of your wedding it will be hard to remember “oh, where’s the cake picture” even if you have one!
The wedding dress… is probably something you don’t want to touch yet. Many traditions are valuable and the wedding dress is one of the primary symbols at a wedding that may not be welcomed so readily. If you’re really daring, though, go for it!

Enlist friends and relatives to come up with good ideas that are fun, creative, and uniquely you but be sure to always try to combine it tastefully with age-old traditions and you will truly enjoy a memorable wedding that honors the old way of doing things but speaks volumes about your own personality.

Tips On Getting The Most Out Of Your Exercise Equipment

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

Exercise equipment is any physical object used in exercise. This can include treadmills, bicycles, trackshoes or protective equipment such as a weightlifting belt.

Aerobic or Anaerobic?

Aerobic equipment means any exercise equipment which predominantly benefits your cardiovascular system ( with oxygen ). This includes, but is not exclusive to, treadmills, cross trainers, rowing machines and stepping machines.

Anaerobic ‘benefitting’ equipment generally refers to weight resistance equipment such as cable machines and weight barbells / dumbbells.
When considering what exercise you are going to do and which equipment you need to use, it’s best to consider doing a mixture of aerobic and resistance exercise, possibly on different days. Anaerobic exercise will benefit your muscular endurance, fitness and strength, whereas aerobic exercise will help you to maintain a good level of cardiovascular fitness and burn more calories.

To get the most out of your training regime you must also ensure you are eating the right quantities of protein, carbohydrate and fat. Getting enough sleep is also a factor as well as allowing yourself recovery time between sessions.

When using weight resistance equipment, try to use a mixture of cable/pulley machines and free weights. That way you will benefit from a more natural movement of your own body when using free weights, but will also have the added benefit of using machines to add variety to your routine and target different areas of any given muscle group.
If you are running or doing high impact aerobic work, make sure at the very least you have a good set of running show. Do not skimp on this investment, your knees will thank you for it later. It’s also a good idea to replace your running shoes every 6 months if training regularly.

Moon Phase Lesson Plan For Elementary-Age Students

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Understanding the phases of the moon can be a tricky concept for a child in elementary school. There are many different aspects of the phases of the moon that children should learn. A moon phase lesson plan should be educational, yet fun so the students can better understand the lesson they are taught. Some concepts of teaching about the moon phases will be reviewed here.

First, you should help the children understand moon phase activity (the cycle of the moon), which is divided into 4 parts: new moon (where you see no moon at all), first quarter (only half of the moon can be seen), third quarter (only half of the moon can be seen), and full moon (the entire moon can be seen).

Your moon phase lesson plan should explain the difference in these moon phases. Use pictures and diagrams or software that illustrate what these moon phases look like.

Your moon phase lesson plan should go over the earth and moons orbit. You should first explain that the earth orbits the sun. Explain that the earth orbits the sun in about 365 days. Next explain that the earth rotates on its axis a full circle in about 24 hours. Then explain that the moon orbits the earth. The moon takes about 28 days to orbit the entire planet of earth. Then you can explain how the position of the earth, sun or moon affects the phases of the moon and which part of the moon we can see.

Next, explain how the moon does not produce any light, it merely reflects light from the sun. You should also explain that the moon can be seen both during the day and night.

To help your students understand this concept, you may like to do a hands on experiment. For this experiment you will need a darkened class room, soft balls or styrofoam balls, and flashlights. Information on how to execute this experiment can be found at www.eduref.org. It will help you in teaching the phase of the moon. This experiment is approved for children in grades K-6.

Allow plenty of time for your moon phase lesson. If your students have questions, be sure to answer them and clarify it by example, as the phase of moon can be a very confusing subject.

Keep it fun and interesting for the students. Remember that students will understand the phase of the moon better (and enjoy your lesson more) if you use a variety of teaching tools such as hands on experiments, diagrams, pictures, software and verbal explanations.

Snakes That You Should Watch Out For While Fishing

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Fishermen in many parts of the country have to keep an eye out for snakes while they are fishing. Many species of venomous snakes can often be found in areas that are popular fishing spots. It is important for a fisherman to be educated about what snakes can be found in the area that they will be fishing as well as how to properly take caution. This article describes the most common types of snakes that one should watch out for as well as how to identify them.

There are a few important things to consider about snakes before I go into much more detail:

1. Snakes are not vicious and aggressive. They are actually the opposite. They are shy and retiring. As long as you do not corner them or step on them they will not respond aggressively.

2. Most snakes that you will come across are not venomous. In the United States there are far more non-venomous snakes than venomous.

Snakes are an important part of the ecosystem and are creatures to be respected so if you see a snake… don’t just kill it!!!

The Cottonmouth/ Water Moccasin

The Cottonmouth is a common species of snake near waterways throughout the south and southeast. Cottonmouths are venomous and are dangerous. Cottonmouths are relatively stout bodied snakes that are dark or blotched in pattern. They can often be found right at the edge of lakes and rivers in the southeast and fishermen must be cautious when fishing in such areas that they do not step on a cottonmouth. There are many species of non-venomous water snakes that look strikingly similar to cottonmouths. Cottonmouths can be identified by their flared out heads, vertical pupils, heat sensing pits and white interior of the mouth.

Copperheads

Copperheads are common in the eastern parts of the United States. They are not so closely associated with water as is the cottonmouth; however, they are often found in leaf litter or rocky areas nearby water. Copperheads are brownish or orange snakes with flared out heads and vertical pupils. They are definitely worth watching out for as you are trampling through the forest to your favorite fishing hole.

Coral snakes

Coral snakes are brightly colored, beautiful snakes that have red, white/ yellow and black bands. They are found in the southeast and parts of the southwestern United States. Coral snakes are not aggressive and are not really a threat. Most of the time their mouths are too small to even inject you with venom. Consider yourself fortunate if you get to see one.

Rattlesnakes

There are dozens of species of rattlesnakes in the United States. None are known for being particularly closely associated with water, however, many are found in the vicinity of water.

Part of the reason that snakes have such a poor reputation is because many people are uneducated about them. Do your part to help educate people by posting on fishing forums and blogs about how important snakes are to the ecosystem.

Fix Your Computer Registry

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

The Windows Registry System

Basically, for all windows users, one of the most important things in a computer that needs backup is the windows registry.

In windows, the registry system stores all of your information in your computer. These are placed in a database system where certain data about the user profile, configuration settings, and installed programs are recorded.

However, there are times when the computer gets system-overload and can no longer accept data or misplaces the pieces of data stored in the computer. If this is the case, then it is high time that you fix registry on computer.

Backup Copies With Backup

The steps to fix registry on computer is not as easy as 1-2-3. But it is not as complicated as fixing cars either. To fix registry on computer is to simply change the registry information back to its default setting or to repair any errors incurred therein.

Whether it is complicated or relatively easy to fix registry on computer, the fact remains the same: you have to do backups.

Backups are extremely important so that you can still retrieve your date in case you have failed to fix registry on computer. Also, it enables you to always restore the default settings of the registry of your computer in case you were not able to fix it.

One way to fix registry on computer is to have a backup for your Registry Checker. This is where editing the registry comes in.

In reality, the registry of windows has an integrated Registry Editor. You can locate it at the Start menu, then Run, and then just type regedit.exe, and then hit OK.

Basically, RegEdit is one of the best registry fixes that is focused to fix registry on computer. You can change, edit, or modify your registry through this device.

But if all else fails, you still have to find ways how to be prepared when things like this happens.

Luckily, there are many things like these that are available in the market today. These items are specifically designed and exclusively operated to fix registry on computer.

There may be a lot of registry repair tools available in the market today but none of them guarantees a 100% solution and an error-free procedure.

The bottom line is that in order to prevent errors in your computer system, shun away from activities that may trigger your system to behave badly. As they say, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure to fix registry on computers.

Vacation in Liverpool: Fun & Cheap

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Whether you’re into classical music, pop, or rock, you’ll no doubt be interested in getting cheap concert tickets . And while some venues are a lot more expensive than others it is possible to find bargains if you’re willing to do a bit of research. There are a variety of ways to look for bargain tickets but probably the easiest way is to go online and have a look at the online booking agent websites. There you will find all the information you need about performances, venues and prices. You may find prices change according to the time of day, or time of week. For example, a midday matinee show is going to cost you a lot less than a concert in the evening or at the weekend. Some venues will also let you have unsold tickets for less than their face value, especially if they are last minute cancellations. By shopping around you’ll be able to see your favorite singers at a price you can afford.

And no-one staying in Liverpool will be unaware of the city’s great musical legacy. Since the Beatles burst onto the music scene in the early sixties Liverpool has been synonymous with musical innovation and excitement. If you’re going to see a show you might also be interested in looking for cheap hotels in Liverpool so you can round of your evening’s entertainment with a good night’s sleep. If you use an online hotel directory you’ll be able to choose from B&Bs, guest houses, and small hotels in or near the city. By using one of these directories you’ll also be able to see a selection of prices and star ratings. You’ll find that going online is a lot easier than phoning tourist boards for accommodation lists, or relying on travel agents to offer you a wide range of information.

What is ESR METER ?

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

All capacitors have a certain amount of resistance to the passage of AC current. ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) is the sum of all internal resistances of a capacitor measured in Ohms. An ideal capacitor has ZERO ohms ESR. From the diagram below you can see a resistor in series with a “PERFECT CAPACITOR”. The value of the resistor is called ESR. Electrolytic Capacitors have a tendency to increase its ESR overtime due to drying or corrosion. High ESR is a frequent problem in today’s electronic circuit. Even a 1 or 2 ohms rise in ESR can cause complicated problems. Under normal conditions the ESR has a very low value, which stays that way for many years unless the rubber seal is defective, in which case the electrolyte’s water component gradually dries out and the ESR creeps up with time. The increase in ESR increases both voltage drops within the capacitor and the heat, produced in the capacitors due to resistive heating. If you don’t check for ESR, you may be in for a “TOUGH DOG” repair. High ESR is the first sign of a capacitor failure. High ESR will cause complete circuit failure, over heating of capacitor, loading of the circuit, overstressing of other circuit components and other undesirable effects. Why should I use an ESR?

Because measuring an electrolytic capacitor with an analog or digital capacitance meter can MISLEAD a technician into believing that a defective capacitor is good. This can waste your precious time and you are unable to repair the equipment. Which means you can’t charge your customer! If you don’t test for ESR on the capacitor, you will always miss the bad capacitor. Normally, these bad capacitors have high ESR reading which your normal multimeter or digital capacitance meter can’t measure. Only by using the ESR meter, you will be able to measure the ESR on the capacitor and you will not be fooled by capacitors with bad ESR. ESR meter can even work IN-CIRCUIT, which means you don’t have to solder out the capacitor in order to measure it using normal capacitor tester, which would not be accurate anyway. Do you know that ESR meters can perform other wonders besides checking the ESR of a capacitor? Some digital ESR meter have the features of checking:

Low ohms resistor such as 0.22 ohm, 0.33 ohm and etc. Horizontal yoke coil winding of a picture tube, inductor and primary winding of a transformer – If a shorted turn is present, the inductance drops dramatically and the meter will show the ohms reading. Horizontal output transistor (HOT) in a monitor or TV – If an open-circuit reading is obtained, the short-circuit is elsewhere. If the short-circuit remains, the transistor is faulty. Short-circuit in the track, usually trace to the components – You can use the ESR meter to locate short-circuits on printed circuit boards by measuring the actual track resistance. If the reading increases as you probe further along the track, you know you’re going in the wrong direction! Speakers, amplifier etc – The pulses have a fast rise/fall time, so it would probably make a crude RF signal injector as well. The condition of both the normal and rechargeable batteries – Flat and faulty battery will have high ESR.

Focus, Your Body, and Your Physical Well-Being

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

About a week ago, on a beautiful early winter day, I was out jogging in the foothills south of my house. The morning air was clear, cold, and crisp, and the deep blue sky was sparkling with golden sunlight. The gentle hills around me, the rugged mountains in the distance, and the valley far below me were covered in a glistening white cloak of new-fallen snow. My kind of day–I love winter, and I was in heaven!

About a mile into my run, my euphoria was suddenly shattered by a sharp stabbing pain in my left ankle. It hurt like hell!

Over the years a number of people about my age have told me they had to quit jogging because it was too hard on their bodies. Specifically, their ankles, knees, and backs. But I’ve never bought into that mind set, and in almost 40 years of jogging, I’ve had no problems.

And, I thought to myself, I wasn’t willing to start having problems, not after all those years. So I continued jogging along, and the pain kept getting worse and worse. As the pain intensified, so did my focus on it.

Then the light came on, and I remembered what I’d heard from Joseph and others over the years–you always get more of what you give most of your focus to.

So I took my focus off my left ankle and the hot, searing pain. And I focused on my right ankle, which was strong and healthy.

Literally within about three minutes, my left ankle was fine. The pain was gone. So I continued on for my usual distance. The pain never returned.

Now I realize this was an extremely minor disorder, especially compared to the hefty health challenges many of you have shared with me over the years.

But the principle is still the same, whether we’re talking about minor or major physical problems. Or, for that matter, anything else–money, abundance, relationships, jobs– you name it. You get what you focus on.

Chief Joseph

Well, it seems we’re back once again on this issue of focus. You get what you focus on. You create your reality by what you focus on most of the time. We’re sure we seem, to many of you, to be beating this subject to death.

But it’s such an important subject, and one you must understand and accept if you are to create the life you want for yourselves.

For this discussion, however, we want to slightly shift our focus a bit from that of earlier similar discussions we’ve had with you.

We want to talk about vibrations and how your vibration influences the Universe’s response to you and what you ask for, or pray for, or however you put your desires out there.

By its own Law of Attraction, the Universe must respond to your predominant vibration, your predominant focus.

If your focus and, therefore, your vibration, are positive–that is, centered on what you want in your life–the Universe will deliver to you what you want. And if your focus-vibration are mostly about what you don’t want, the Universe will deliver to you what you don’t want.

It’s that simple.

So, to put this in the context of this discussion–your physical bodies, your physical well-being–you must focus on the state of health you wish to experience.

As John said, his healing experience was a minor one. But, as he also said, the principle is the same in much more serious situations. And the healing can be as fast, even in cases of so-called terminal illnesses. Those healings you usually call miracles.

It is no more complicated to create a complete healing of, say terminal cancer, than it is to create the healing of a painful ankle.

Friends, it’s all a matter of focus and belief. Do you believe you can be healed? Do you believe you deserve to be healed? If you do, then you are already healed. Ask and you shall receive. It may not happen instantly. But it can.

And it doesn’t really matter how long it takes–a minute or a year or more. All that matters is this: your body’s natural state is that of perfect health. When you put out the intention to have your body in a state of perfect health, you’ve started the healing.

And the healing must be accomplished unless you get in the way. The Universe and your body will marshal all their considerable resources to bring you and your body back to its natural state.

You are in control here. Your body and the Universe will do your bidding. Focus on perfect health and well-being, and they are yours.

The Concepts of Search Engine Optimisation

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

For those who have been studying the concepts of search engine optimisation Melbourne, making out the heads and tails of search engine optimisation is an easy job. However, for people like me who have just gone into online marketing for business purposes, the concept is new and the job seems to be too complicated. I just recently bought a domain name and hosted it on a platform. I am a web site developer but search engine optimisation is new to me. They say that the web site must be designed to conform to the standards of search engines to have the chance to rank high on their pages. It seems alien to me that’s why I’m up at 3 am just to finish up the landing page of my web site.

Even though I have put in the relevant keyword, meta tags, tags and HTML codes into my web site, it seems that search engines can’t still show up my page on searches for certain keywords that I have used. I have done my research and read that in order to be searched, putting keywords into the page is not enough. If there is someone out there who can help me with my problem or suggest a way so that my page will be shown on Yahoo and Google, I would really appreciate it. Please tell me what I need to do and what else I need to enter into my web pages to truly optimise my site.
