What Chihuahua Puppy Really Makes Your Heart Race?

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

According to the AKC standard a Chihuahua should not exceed 6 pounds. In real life, however, they do. Some Chihuahuas weigh in at 10 pounds or more. Some Chihuahua have longer legs and are lighter boned that is described in the AKC standard. Their muzzles tend to be longer and they have a more “deerlike” look. This type of Chihuahua is labeled a “deer type Chihuahua.” The deer type Chihuahua may have some advantages as a pet. They tend to be better walking companion and they fare better in obedience trials. They are less susceptible to hypoglycemia. However, if you want a “true” Chihuahua you can show or breed, then you need to get one within the standard. If you want a “true” Chihuahua you can love, get whatever appeals to you the most.

Some Chihuahuas are at the other end of not so perfect according to the AKC standards weighing in at as little as 2 pounds. A 2 pound Chihuahua is unofficially named “teacup” or “pocket” Chihuahuas. They are not a separate type of Chihuahua but simply unusually small specimens of the breed. They are somewhat more fragile and vulnerable to hypoglycemia, but not at all “unhealthy” or full of health problems just because they are smaller.

Coat

Chihuahuas come in two coat types: Smooth coat and the less familiar long coat. Neither coat type is difficult to care for or requires long hours of careful grooming. Both types can be seen within the same litter. The long coat is not thick and requires minimal brushing of about 2 times per week. Neither coat type sheds a lot.

Color

Chihuahuas can be solid colored or parti-colored (spotted). The color pattern can be clear, sabled (dark-tipped hairs), masked, or brindled (color broken up by irregular vertical dark stripes). The shade can be basically black or diluted shades of chocolate, blue, or red or its diluted shades of gold or cream, or white.

Sex

Females tend to be smaller than males. Both males and females tend to get along well together. Some people think males may be slightly sweeter. Each has their own adversities with sex hormones and adult sexual maturity. The solution for both sexes is neutering or spaying.

Age

Most people tend to look for a puppy when adding a pet to the family. However, puppies are not for everyone. They are cute and fun, but they are also an incredible amount of work. Chihuahua puppies are more fragile than other breeds. Hypoglycemia is more prevalent especially among the teeny tiny Chihuahuas. Of they miss one meal or overexert themselves they can go into hypoglycemia very quickly.

Many Chihuahua breeders will not send a Chihuahua pup to a new home until the pup reaches at least 10 weeks of age. This is extra work for the breeder, but a breeder who is willing to take on this extra work for you, the consumer, is a breeder worth waiting for or seeking out.

Lack of Strength of Character

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

Weakness is not a human trait and certainly our species could have never gotten this far had we been weak. Some volcano, Earthquake or Saber Tooth Tiger surely would have ended our short evolutionary run. So why is it we have so many pansies out there now?

Why is everyone lacking strength of character? What happened to everyone, where did they go all of a sudden? Is political correctness the new rule, is that the reason for this lack of strength of character? If it is, well I say that is no excuse, rather it is a reason to press on, take some hits, tell it like it is and move the ball down the field for the common good, using reality as your guide.

Why then did everyone turn off, stop caring and why on Earth are they setting for a life of mediocrity? We can do better than this really; how so you ask? Well simple, we teach our children that nothing good in life is easy; that one must work hard and smart and do the right things in life. We must educate our selves and our offspring that doing what you say you are going to do is indeed paramount and that never giving up is a virtue of the highest level.

We must insure that our children are well versed in the realities of commitment, honor, perseverance, dedication and integrity. We must instill a sense of strength of character in every one if we are to make sure that the forward progression of mankind is indeed achieved. Consider this in 2006.

Say Good Bye to the Cul-de-sac of Misery

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

A crucial aspect of creating change involves understanding the role your thoughts play in the process of change.

You move in the direction of your most dominant
thoughts.

So…

Be mindful of what you think.

Because your thoughts matter.

Be mindful of the images you allow to play out in your
mind’s eye.

Because the images in your mind’s eye do matter.

Be mindful of your intentions.

Because your intentions matter.

As trite as it may sound, the most important conversation
you will have all day is the one you have with yourself.

Some additional important ideas about thoughts, images
and intentions include…

Have your thoughts, images and intentions aligned with the
direction you want to move.

Act “as if” you have already created your desired outcomes.

Avoid the disempowering trap of focusing on what you don’t
want.

Remember, you move in the direction of your most dominant
thoughts, images and intentions.

Focusing on what you DON’T want is a sure way to get more
of what you DON’T want in your life.

For example, if you are currently a smoker and want to be
smoke free…

You are not against smoking.

You are for your body and optimal health.

Whatever you stand against or fight you give more power to.

Attempts to make personal changes from the perspective of
fighting leads to an experience of deprivation.

Focusing on what you want is experienced as a positive
assertion of self.

Focusing on what you DON’T want weakens you.

Focusing on what you DO want strengthens you.

Focusing on what you DON’T want leads to intense
preoccupation, a sort of cul-de-sac of misery.

Focusing on what you DO want leads to a healthy mindset
that leads to positive change.

Focusing on what you DON’T want leads to feeling like a
victim. It contributes to self pity, a need to blame and feelings of powerlessness.

Focusing on what you DO want helps you transcend complaining
and facilitates feelings of resourcefulness.

Spend a few moments today getting a clear image in your
mind’s eye clearly seeing, hearing, feeling and experiencing
what you want “as if” you already accomplished it.

How to Make the Online Sales Copy for Your Website More Conversational

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

It has been said that the best online sales copy is one that talks to your prospect as if you are in together in a conversation.

But for some of my subscribers to my newsletter, they find it difficult to accomplish. They say that it is hard to “talk on paper”. How can this be? My guess is that the training in school did not provide much opportunity to practice on writing a conversational piece of work.

Another guess is that there are tons of articles by copywriting experts on writing screaming headlines but less help is available on how to make the rest of your sales copy sound conversational.

The solution that I propose is to speak to a recorder and have what is recorded transcribed. Having said that, here are 30 short phrases that can possibly help you connect ideas on your sales letter into one flowing conversation:

1. Are you kidding?

2. Just imagine…

3. What does this all mean for you?

4. Don’t you agree?

5. The tip of the iceberg is….

6. Here is what’s in store for you…

7. Grab a cup of coffee, sit back and relax. In the next 5 minutes, let me share with you…..

8. You need proof?

9. Think about it….

10. The result after 2 weeks?

11. Having said that…

12. You may be asking….

13. The reality is….

14. Allow me to share my story…

15. Back to what I was saying…

16. Now, what was my first point about?

17. Hang on! Wait a minute!

18. Make no mistakes about this…

19. Still not convinced? How about I throw in a couple more freebies?

20. And the worst part is….

21. And the best part is….

22. Your eyes playing tricks on you? No, you read that right…

23. I dare say…

24. I assure you….

25. Want to know a secret?

26. I’ve just let the cat out of the bag by sharing with you…..

27. It’s amazing, isn’t it?

28. Do you know what happenend?

29. And then…

30. Let me just recap quickly here…

If you find the above 30 phrases useful, I suggest you bookmark this article and any other great sales letters that you come across. Keep these pieces in a separate folder. Whenever you feel the need to, just open up this folder, lift these “conversational phrases” and inject them into your very own copy!
